Hosted by Mr. Bert Choong and Ms. Jean Wee of Marquis Furniture Gallery, Visionnaire opening launch party was well attended by the well-heeled guests from industry connoisseurs, architects and media friends. This year it was an the honour to have Secretary General from Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, Mrs Raffaella Orsini whom gave a congratulatory speech to the successfully partnership between Marquis Furniture Gallery and Visionnaire.

The guests were treated to an evening of fine Italian affair. To complete the evening of sumptuous feast and flows of prosecco, there was the unveiling of Visionnaire 2011 collection and the new showroom spanning over 3,000 sqft. Visionnaire 2011 Collection concept takes inspiration from that branch of the Gothic-Art, which has mixed decorative and neoclassical elements together with metropolitan design. Environments of unusual and enhanced elegance, far from being classical or austere, arise from this concept.

As for an haute couture wardrobe, as for a jewel, there are several ironic details, sometimes flippant and sometimes unique, such as feathers, chains and precious lacquering, reminding that different styles always live and meld in the Visionnaire maison. The access is possible only through the mirror of the wonders, a corridor whose reflexes are enhanced by the “grands miroirs” covering the vertical surfaces, with unique cross-play and framings, starting a transformation process that has involved the “cult” products of the Visionnaire collection and the internal exhibition layout.

Going over the concept of the simple internal design, Alvin Grassi has set up the space for Visionnaire from a feminine point of view, identifying the collection with a woman who gets back a new glamour with a new “raison d’etre”. He has spreaded the common areas with sinuous silhouettes, as a metropolitan Medina. A rhythmic and extraordinary scenic effect is added by using the lightness of chain wings purposely illuminated, exploring original dynamisms. Each space becomes a place for the satisfaction of the senses. Here the design, made and planned down to the smallest details, leaves room to the interpretation, sparking off infinite sensations.
Here is the new Visionnaire esprit!
